Digital Meets Impact

We are very happy to start a new project with our long term partner SOS Children’s Villages ! In 2024 we will be involved in the monitoring and evaluation of three NGO’s programs in Burundi, DRC and Senegal. We will use our Participatory Audio-Visual Methods to engage stockholders and analyse the impact of these program on the field. Stay tuned !

In the meantime, the Family Strengthening Program of the NGO we observed and documented in 2020-2021 in the Democratic Republic of Congo wins the Digital4Development award.

Increasing the impact of their work is a major goal of any development NGO. In order to collect relevant data and make better use of it to improve the quality of their intervention, the NGO SOS Children’s Villages has developed a digital tool called Program Database 2 – PDB2. Because “to measure is to know”, as the NGO emphasizes, and thus, as we at Visual Exchange advocate, to have the possibility to act consciously, with a better understanding of one’s environment and the real needs of the stakeholders and, above all, to identify where the action will be a real lever of strengthening and development for the beneficiaries, and thus for the project as a whole.

This digital aspect of the program has been nominated for the Digital4Development award, a biennial initiative of the AfricaMuseum with the support of the Directorate General for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid (DGD). The official award ceremony was held at the Royal Museum for Central Africa on November 24, 2022.
